NRSWA Unit S4: Monitoring Reinstatement of Sub-base and Base in Non-bituminous Materials

Set your engineers up with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to gain their Streetworks Unit S4 accreditation.

About NRSWA Unit S4

The NRSWA Unit S4 course is designed for anyone who supervises, coordinates, manages, or inspects reinstatement work on highways.

It focuses on understanding and using sub-base—the layer of material just above the natural soil—and the base, which is added on top of that.

This knowledge helps supervisors ensure that the reinstatement work they oversee is stable, robust, and most importantly, safe.

The accreditation lasts for five years and needs to be renewed after that.

Yes! You can find a full list of our NRSWA courses for supervisors below:

  • PPE for the practical assessments, including high-vis vests or jackets, safety boots, a hard hat, safety gloves, and safety glasses.
